As a Service Centre Planner Buyer in our Crawley office, you will manage procurement for spares and repairs both for internal and subcontract customers. Working together with the team, you will be instrumental in exceeding our customers' expectations and delivering on time, to budget and to the required quality. You will be dealing with prestigious customers while gaining exposure to other departments at Thales and developing your purchasing abilities.
Key responsibilities
• Keeping your customers up to date on the status of item availability and subcontract repairs, including updating on forecast deliveries, pricing, repair and survey reports
• Delivering a high level of service to our customers, and playing a pivotal role in ensuring that internal and external targets are met
• Converting customer demands into requirements, and ensuring purchase orders are in line with internal and external policies and procedures.
Skills, qualifications and experience
• Planner buyer experience, preferably from an aerospace, defence or manufacturing background, ideally supported by progression towards MCIPS qualification
• A talent for influencing effectively at all levels, with customers, partners and suppliers
• The passion, energy, drive and resilience to achieve stretching goals under difficult circumstances
