RSK Environment Ltd, a member of RSK Group plc, is looking for a high-calibre environmental consultant to join RSK's growing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Planning and Design team in Glasgow.

RSK Environment Ltd is a registrant under the IEMA Quality Mark Standard and is currently engaged on some of the most high profile projects across the UK. Our EIA teams are currently supporting clients on a range major planning applications, public inquiries and the environmental management of projects before and during construction.
Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant - Glasgow
The successful candidate will be working on high-profile projects helping some of the UK's leading organisations to safeguard the environment for the future. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have experience of working on a wide range of EIA and environmental management projects.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the co-ordination and production of EIAs and related projects and/or undertaking construction phase environmental management on projects in Scotland
- Providing and preparing environmental management documentation such as Construction Environmental Management Plans
- Writing detailed feasibility studies, environmental reviews and environmental statements
- Undertaking construction phase environmental management on projects in Scotland
- Assisting with production of proposals and tenders
- Working with regulators and liaising with clients
- Providing advice on a wide range of environmental issues
Desired experience:
- Previous consultancy experience managing EIA projects
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors would be essential: rail, electricity transmission or distribution
- Any experience in the following sectors will be advantageous: renewable energy including offshore and onshore wind energy, conventional power, EfW, biomass, and property
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good team player, with the ability to work independently
- Enthusiastic and well organised
- CEEQUAL Assessor certification and/or experience of delivering CEEQUAL for major projects would be desirable
Person specification:
- BSc degree level qualified in a relevant discipline
- Preferably MSc qualified in environmental impact assessment, environmental management or related subject
- A particular expertise in one of the environmental disciplines would be advantageous
