Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Woking, North West Surrey
Salary: £17,200 - £19,000
Position: Full Time, Permanent (38 hours per week)

Our Client is widely regarded as one of the most significant and respected providers of housing and support in the area offering person centred support services to individuals with a wide diversity of needs including learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
They are a community-based organisation operating on a 'not for profit' basis with charitable status. You will find them to be professional, committed, dedicated, open, honest, and transparent and values driven.
They are now in need of experienced, dynamic support workers to join their dedicated and passionate teams. You will be providing personal care, as well as supporting their service users to take part in a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, drama, musical evenings, gardening, shopping trips and social occasions.
You will be working in their new Young Adult's Transition Service, accommodating up to 8 people 18- 30's. This innovative 24-hour provision is a new service in their young adult transition programme, which supports people with learning and physical disabilities on the journey from leaving home, school or college into the next chapter of their lives across Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the service users to become independent.
- Responsible of compiling and implementing support plans.
- Ensuring the service users support plans is suitable and beneficial.
- Activities and social visits may include undertaking work.
- Assisting service users with personal care needs.
- It's preferable if candidates have their own transportation (Desirable).
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Support Worker (Desirable).
For the role they are recruiting for, they are looking for candidates to start as soon as possible. However, successful candidates will need to complete a five day training course for which they will get paid for along with their travelling costs.
They provide their employees with excellent remuneration and progression, along with ongoing training and development. A current DBS is preferred however not essential as this can be completed with them.
