Our client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.
They now have a number of opportunities available for 2nd and 3rd Line Support IT Technicians to join them on a permanent basis.
They are a multi-site campus which relies on WAN technologies to support staff and students and they have invested heavily in virtualisation and remote access which has challenges both in support and the development of the infrastructure in supporting the College’s priorities.
They support over 3500 students and over 700 staff spread across the north of England.
The main aims of these roles are to provide technical hardware and software support for staff and students on a Microsoft Windows based network infrastructure. You must also support the effective use and maximise the potential of IT in curriculum delivery, student centred learning and the administrative and business functions of the College.
They are looking for candidates with a range of skills in the following areas:
- Wintel
- Windows Server 2008R2 / 2012 2012R2
- AD administration
- DNS / DHCP / IP / AD Replication / DFS
- Microsoft SQL
- Arcserve UDP
- VM Ware
- HP Networking
- HP Servers
- SAN technologies
- Windows 7 / 8.1
