AX Technical Consultant - Leeds/London (AX, Axapta, X++, C#,SSRS)

My client, a global organisation specialising in Dynamics AX 2012, is currently looking for an AX Technical Consultant to join the Technical Consulting team.

Where necessary they will offer full project life cycle services, including pre-sales discovery, business analysis, design specification and the ability to present their solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Application Developer will provide both technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX clients own solution being implemented as well as all related Microsoft technologies required for the customer implementation.

The role will involve working with cross functional teams and with high profile, key stake holders within those teams, as well as a significant amount of client-facing time across the UK, plus the potential for some international travel.

This is a unique opportunity to become a product expert on my clients product based on ERP platforms. You'll be working with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal departments, customers and partners to support the design, development, and implementation of applications, adhering to the clients best practice delivery methodology
• Delivery of software code, unit tests and the creation of the supporting documentation for Microsoft Dynamics AX and the Clients solution
• An understanding of the customers' requirements and collaborates with other consultants to provide technical input in creating functional specifications when customisations to Microsoft Dynamics AX and the Clients solution are required
• Is responsible for driving the effort to migrate the customers' data sources into Microsoft Dynamics AX and the Clients solution
• Responsible for ensuring proper alignment of data models and can offers support on Microsoft tools for migration and integration
• Provides consultancy using industry standard knowledge to develop integrated solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX to other systems
• Review and design of applications to meet new and existing customers' business objectives, functional and technical requirements
• Present application design concepts and approaches to the Clients internal and customer stakeholders, for both technical and non-technical audiences

Role Requirement:

• A strong understanding of information technologies including web services and database, networking, and storage technologies
• Knowledge of and experience with the following:

• WPF
• MVVM pattern
• MEF
• VB.NET
• ASP.NET
• MVP pattern
• MS-SQL
• Visual Studio development tools
• Highly experienced with SQL Server and associated technologies:
• SSRS
• SSAS
• T-SQL
• ETL
• Demonstrated experience of the application of core and standard Microsoft integration techniques
• Experience in the design, development and execution of complex data migrations
• Knowledge of and experience in developing Client Server applications
• Experience in the design, development and testing of management information and reports
• Relevant certification in Microsoft Dynamics AX (Developer 1, 2 and 3) and other Microsoft technologies
• A strong understanding of information technologies including web services and database, networking, and storage technologies
• Knowledge of and proven experience integrating multiple enterprise technologies (eg ERP, CRM, DMS, Case Management)
• Experience in technical consulting with large IT organizations, solution design, project envisioning and planning, technology deployment,
