Based at our Bristol Head Office with a Warehouse relocation to Aztec West this September.

Salary is up to £22,000 (permanent contract, 40 hours per week on a two team work pattern between 6.30am – 6pm) which comes with a benefit package designed to nurture your wellbeing.

Our Warehouse plays a vital role within Pukka – at the heart of the Company the Warehouse is where we receive bulk herbs, from the many countries our herbs are organically grown, check their quality and then dispatch onwards to our manufacturers and co-packers. Finally, finished product is received back in house where they are picked and despatched to our many web based customers and shop orders across the UK.

As a Warehouse Team Leader you will be managing the smooth and efficient operation of our Pukka Warehouse. Responsibilities include:

- Day to day running of our Warehouse operations and team to ensure customer orders are despatched in a timely and well packaged way;

- Management of the goods in and goods out procedures in line with SOPs;

- Liaising with key departments such as QC, Customer Services, Supply Chain and Planning to ensure priorities are aligned;

- Leading the Warehouse team to deliver Warehouse KPIs and drive improvement where required; and

- Assisting in the development of new systems to help with overall efficiencies and stock monitoring.

In terms of who you are and what you might bring to Pukka, you’ll have a NVQ or equivalent in Warehousing and licensed to operate a Reach Fork Lift and Counter Balance. Ideally, you will have worked in a food warehousing environment and understand the principles of food hygiene. It’s essential that you’ve lead and supervised teams in this environment and it probably goes without saying that you’ve worked with computerized stock management/order systems. We have high standards so we’d also love it if you can demonstrate some knowledge of the requirements of BRC/organic certification schemes and a record of improving systems and performance in previous roles.

The Warehouse is currently located at the Pukka Head Office on Hawkfield Business Park and with our phenomenal growth we will be moving to bigger and better premises on Quadrant Industrial Estate. The move will be taking place this August/September and it is expected that this recruit will be able to move with us to Aztec West.
