Country Manager - Assembly Materials - Nord Rhine-Westphalia

My client supplies high performance materials in to the semiconductor, PCB assembly and LED markets - with the vast majority of their revenue being generated through solder products. Having recently appointed a die attach specialist to focus on the power IC segment, they're now looking for a Country Manager in NRW who can extend their presence across the core German business within PCB assembly. It will also require management of export sales in to other DACH territories as well as global key accounts.

The 'local' focus will be on OEMs and tier 1s including Siemens, Continental, Bosch etc, as well as looking at new application areas to target. The goal will be to build up a pipeline over 12-18 months which warrants additional heads, whom you will hire and manage.

With an applications centre in Germany, there is local support to assist with the pre-sales responsibilities, so this position will be geared towards new lead generation, account penetration and market development. A certain level of technical understanding within PCB assembly is required, but a proven sales and personnel management background is the priority.

To successfully fulfil this position, you will need:

- A technical degree (eg. electronics engineering, chemistry)

- A track record selling in to the PCB assembly market

- Experience managing a direct or indirect team

- A home office in the Nord Rhine-Westphalia area

- The willingness to travel

- Business fluent German and English

This is a high profile position for an SME who are growing exceptionally well within Europe. Reporting in to the UK, you'll be the 'eyes and ears on the ground' in Germany and will therefore take a lot of responsibility over the continued success in this territory, as well as having an input in how the business is shaped.
