Thales's Network & Infrastructure Systems (NIS) team ensures the security, integrity and resilience of networks that are critical for a country's security and defence. In the UK, it is an area that designs, builds and operates solutions to meet a range of security needs for both the public and private sector. As we continue to grow we need an experienced Network Solutions Architect to join the team, compiling end to end networking strategies that closely match both the customer requirements and internal business needs.
Key responsibilities
End to end architecture for major high cost and complex work packages
Assess solutions to ensure best trade off between customer requirements, technical solutions and risk/cost control.
Produce testing, integration and qualification strategies and templates
Be able to articulate and demonstrate through measurement the overall success (or otherwise) of an architecture.
Skills, qualifications and experience
Significant design knowledge of IP based networking architectures
Familiarity with LAN and WAN managed solutions
Familiarity with integration techniques, Routers, Firewalls, Servers and gateways
Good knowledge of end-to-end service delivery in accordance with ITIL frameworks
A practical understanding of Cisco CCNA, CCNP and CCDP.
