Quality Engineer

Job Elements: -

• Quality Engineer will be required to improve Customer and Supplier quality performance by carrying out audits and maintaining QMS documentation.
• Handle customer QA issues/complaints, and allocate resources based on source of problem, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
• Management of Quality in line with process and procedures (Customer QFR, Supplier NCR, ISO Manual, build documentation and Standard Operating Procedures):-
• Improve and create Build Documentation, methods, procedures and standard operating practices and improve and document information processes.
• Carry out internal & external quality audits.
• Reporting of monthly/quarterly/annual quality statistics, reviewing yield performance and quality targets and informing employees.
• Supporting purchasing by maintaining/improving performance of suppliers
• Driving and continuously improving standards of workmanship and monitoring of quality control initiatives and pro-active management of 5S standards for cleanliness, ensuring compliance to Health and Safety standards.
• Co-ordinate with other Departments in order to facilitate issue resolution and participate in cross functional team projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a quality role based in a fast moving manufacturing environment
• Ideally a technical/engineering education.
• Experience of Product, Supplier and Systems quality
