Job Title: Support Worker - Full Time and Part Time Hours
Location: Basingstoke, County of Hampshire
Salary: £6.50 - £8.00 per Hour, Dependant on Experience

An exciting opportunity has recently arisen to join our client's team in the area of Basingstoke as a Support Worker.

They have rapidly become a leading care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independent lifestyles within their own homes. Care and support is designed on an individual basis to meet the needs of the Service User and to promote their independence.

The main function of the Support Worker is to protect, promote and respect the rights of service users to lead an independent lifestyle of their own choosing within their own homes. Support Workers are encouraged to look after the same service users to ensure the service users have consistency in the care they receive, and build a relationship's with the support workers that care for them. This is not a Domiciliary Care position.

Support Worker - Key Responsibilities:

• Following an agreed plan of care and support for the individual service user.
• Involving and encouraging service users to participate in all aspects of the running of their home.
• To assist in the development and promotion of a variety of activities for the service user and to support the service user in accessing community services to meet their needs.

Support Worker - Essential Candidate Specifications:

• Experience of working in a care or support role. Please note people with voluntary or personal experience will be considered.
• A passion for providing a high level of care and support to adults with learning disabilities.

Support Worker - Desirable Candidate Specifications:

• NVQ Level 2 / 3 / 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
• Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
• Experience of working with individuals with Dementia / Challenging Behaviour.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
