Due to on going success Aston Children’s Care are opening a new children’s care home that specialise in caring for children and young people of mixed gender, aged between 8-18 and who have severe and complex Learning Disabilities which include with ASD, ADHD and other forms of disabilities such as Downs Syndrome or Global Developmental Delay. 
Aston Children’s Care utilizes a wide range of supportive educational approaches and techniques to enable the young people to learn and develop; including TEACCH, PECS and Makaton.

We are currently recruiting for Residential Support workers who are passionate and dedicated about making a difference in young people’s lives and who will ensure that the welfare and happiness of the young people is made paramount at all times. 

•    All applicants must be over the age of 21.
•    A minimum of a NVQ Level 3 in Working with Children and young people or and equivalent qualification. 
•    They must have a minimum of 12 months experience of working with children and young people. 
•    A full driving licence    

The successful candidate will be working directly with the young people, and will be required to work a 3 days on 3 days off (7am – 10pm) shift pattern, on a rolling rota system which will require the applicant to work weekends.

The post will also involve a large amount of administrative work and record keeping associated with the running of an Ofsted Registered Care Home, as well as undertaking and assisting the young people in their day to day personal care activities and independence skills.

All job roles within the company will be subject to a satisfactory CRB being received along with satisfactory references from your previous employer.
