Domiciliary Care Worker in Guildford - CareYourWay are looking for people who are reliable and committed and are able to work Full/Part time hours as well as early mornings, evenings and weekends
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE ROLE APPLICANT(S) SHOULD HOLD A FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE AND OWN A CAR.
v We pay for DBS + Annual leave + Training + excellent rates on Bank Holidays
Duties:
  • Administering medication
  • Preparing meals
  • Shopping
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Social activities and companionship
  • Light duties around the house
As a Care Worker your key responsibilities will be:
  • To enable service users to remain in their own homes by providing the support and care needed to help them achieve maximum independence
  • Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting service users, as required , with washing, dressing, toileting, undressing, meal preparation, assisting self-administration of prescribed medication and all other aspects of daily living
  • Assisting service users in all aspects of their care needs (e.g physical, emotional, spiritual) providing attention when needed, whilst ensuring service users retain their comfort and dignity
  • To encourage service users to regain their confidence
  • To respect the service users and strive to establish and maintain their trust and confidence
  • To undertake all duties as identified in the person-centred care plan
  • To document all care given in accordance with polices and procedures
  • To record and report any changes in circumstances in the service users' social or health conditions to a care manager
  • To comply with all risk assessments that are put in place and to be responsible for notifying the acre manager of any changes /updates
  • To report any complaints, incidents or accidents immediately
The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Be mobile, with own transport and full driving licence
  • Have genuine interest in working in a caring environment
  • Display willingness to participate in training programmes
  • Have an ability to communicate at all levels
  • Will have flexible availability - able to work days and hours that fit the needs of the company within reasonable timescales
Due to the nature of the role all candidates require an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be met by the employer.
