Duties:
- Administering medication
- Preparing meals
- Shopping
- Assisting with personal care
- Social activities and companionship
- Light duties around the house
- To enable service users to remain in their own homes by providing the support and care needed to help them achieve maximum independence
- Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting service users, as required , with washing, dressing, toileting, undressing, meal preparation, assisting self-administration of prescribed medication and all other aspects of daily living
- Assisting service users in all aspects of their care needs (e.g physical, emotional, spiritual) providing attention when needed, whilst ensuring service users retain their comfort and dignity
- To encourage service users to regain their confidence
- To respect the service users and strive to establish and maintain their trust and confidence
- To undertake all duties as identified in the person-centred care plan
- To document all care given in accordance with polices and procedures
- To record and report any changes in circumstances in the service users' social or health conditions to a care manager
- To comply with all risk assessments that are put in place and to be responsible for notifying the acre manager of any changes /updates
- To report any complaints, incidents or accidents immediately
- Be mobile, with own transport and full driving licence
- Have genuine interest in working in a caring environment
- Display willingness to participate in training programmes
- Have an ability to communicate at all levels
- Will have flexible availability - able to work days and hours that fit the needs of the company within reasonable timescales
