Due to recent success and expansion, 3 new roles have come up for experienced Quality Engineers to join their site at Livingston

The key purpose of the role is to represent the quality function of technical support in conjunction with other internal support groups. Dealing with issues affecting manufacturing for global accounts and liaising with internal customers and suppliers on global quality issues.

Our client will consider experienced candidates from all Industries but are particularly keen to hear from Quality Engineers from the electronics, mechanical, gas, aviation, chemical and automotive industries.

Key accountabilities of the role;

  • Develop and maintain QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization specific to the customer.
  • Provide support for all quoting activities by participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.
  • Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
  • Support all global training programs specific to their customer by development and implementation of specialized training sessions for all applicable functions.
  • Develop appropriate systems for document storage, access and review pertaining to global customer accounts.
  • Review all supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies, coordinate and track the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts.
  • Conduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files; develops appropriate systems for document storage and access.
  • Review all supplier or customer discrepancies.
  • Participate in the vendor survey activities as applicable.
  • Provide insight and assistance in implementing and maintaining Process Improvement and Optimization concentrating on proactive methodologies.
  • Assist in driving the standardization of manufacturing processes of global customer accounts.
  • Interfaces and provides technical support on quality issues with the customer as needed.

Key attributes of the candidate;

  • Excellent experience of working within a similar quality role
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of the electronics industry would be an advantage
  • Previous experience or knowledge of AS9100 or TS16949
  • Degree qualified or qualified by experience
