This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing ecommerce company located just outside Poole in Dorset.
Born from one of the longest established suppliers of shop fittings to the retail sector, the company has evolved since 2010 into a leading online and multi-channel supplier for a wide range of display solutions, storage solutions and retail equipment.
The purpose of this role is to drive the commercial performance of the online product catalogue. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to improve current product ranges, create and manage listings for new products and develop categories. This is a full-time role for a motivated individual with first experience who seeks a career in ecommerce and digital marketing.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for adding new products and ensuring all content meets with SEO guidelines
- Ensure products are correctly tagged and specification details are correct
- Check product listings and the website to ensure all information is accurate and the website is functioning correctly
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. customer service, operations and category management) to improve existing product listings
- Work with suppliers to collect information and resources for existing and new products
- Research competitor offerings and create value propositions for new products
- Source and collate information to create new product listings
- Improve the category presentation and assist the product merchandising
- Support the digital marketing and ecommerce team to create and improve website resources such as photography, reviews, buying guides and videos
- Report on product and category performance and suggest ways to improve revenue and growth performance
- Collect, analyse and implement user feedback to improve content or user journeys
- Participate in usability studies to help improve the website
- Organise and replicate product listings on selected marketplace channels
- Monitor the market and relevant competitors for different products and categories
Criteria for success:
- Motivated, willing to learn and flexible
- Able to put forward ideas to help improve the usability of the website
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the commercial impact of your role
- Able to quickly adapt to new situations, software tools and an evolving market
- Confident working on your own as much as you enjoy working collaboratively within a team
- Comfortable building effective relationships with colleagues, external partners and suppliers
- Able to produce compelling and well written product copy which is customer focused
- Interested in ecommerce
Key requirements:
- Up to a 1 years' experience in a similar ecommerce / marketing / copywriting role
- Excellent communications and written copy skills
- Basic understanding of ecommerce content management systems and the principles of SEO, SEM and Google Analytics
- A relevant degree will be beneficial
