A passionate and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant is required to join a small but rapidly growing team to help manage the day to day accounts and book-keeping in a busy office in Bodmin. You’ll be working full time, on a permanent basis and will be met with a salary between £13,000 - £18,000 p.a. depending on experience.

The role
Reporting directly to the CEO of this much respected and rapidly expanding Internet Company, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for a variety of duties including providing administrative and financial support to the company on a day-to-day basis.

Your other responsibilities will include:
• Gradually taking on the day-to-day accounts functions of the business including invoicing, purchases, book-keeping, VAT and Payroll.
• Dealing with incoming-billing enquiries and communicating with the customers in a professional manner by phone and email.
• Providing clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
• Chasing up outstanding debts.
• Assisting the sales and support departments to deliver a high quality customer experience.
• Providing some overflow assistance to sales and customer service enquiries.

What you’ll need
• AAT intermediate or equivalent.
• Experience with VAT and PAYE systems.
• Organised and methodical approach to record keeping and reporting.
• Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
• Strong customer service ethic.
• Experience with computerised accounts systems including Word and Excel.
• Self motivated but equally work well in a team setting.
