Location: Oxford,Oxfordshire
Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
Benefits: 20 days, plus bank holidays.
Hours: 37 per week. We’re quite flexible about working hours, within reason – e.g. some people work 8:30am – 5:00pm with an hour for lunch, others work 10:00am – 6:00pm with half an hour for lunch.

The Company:

Our client is a thriving software development company. They build websites and software applications and work with a range of companies, charities and other organisations, mostly in the Oxford area. They are now looking for a Digital Account Manager with a range of skills and interests to join their team in central Oxford.

The Role:

As a Digital Account Manager you will be looking after client relationships and projects with a particular focus on online marketing / social media / SEO / usability.

Our client is looking for a dynamic and effective Account Manager to join their team of twelve people.

They’re looking for a dynamic, engaging individual to take on overall responsibility for a number of key client accounts. You must be an excellent communicator and good at building rapport as well as being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about how you can use the web to help clients to develop their businesses.

In addition to the above you will need to be a team player with a “can-do” attitude who can build strong relationships with external clients and with the talented people already in place at our client’s business.

Account Management:

You’ll be involved with new clients and existing ones.

You’ll work closely with the existing Senior Account Manager and will be fully involved in the new business / sales process. This will involve meeting prospective new clients, getting to know them and their businesses, and understanding their needs so you can work out the best way to help them.

Once work is agreed you’ll continue to work closely with the clients and also with the rest of the team to deliver the agreed solutions.

There will also be the opportunity to work with existing clients. A website is never finished and there are always things that can be done to improve it. An important part of your role will be to work with existing clients helping them to get more value from their websites through better use of online marketing, social media and SEO.  In doing this you’ll work closely with our client’s design and development teams.

Project Management:

Although project management is not the central part of the role, some project management will be needed to ensure that things get done as agreed in a timely way, and that clients are kept informed of what is happening.

Online Marketing:

You need to be knowledgeable about and interested in how websites can communicate key messages and help promote a business.  You need to be passionate about how online marketing can be used to take a business forward.  Your skills in this area could also help to promote our client in a more effective manner.

Communication:

It would be helpful if you were good with words. You could help the Head of Marketing to keep the case studies and news sections of our client’s website up-to-date. There could also be the opportunity to attend local networking events, to build relationships with potential clients and partner companies.

Dynamic Small Business Environment:

In a small business there is the need for every member of staff to be flexible and willing to get involved in doing different things. Ideally you are someone who understands this and who this appeals to.

Looking Ahead:

For the right person there is the opportunity to develop this role into one in which you play a key role within our clients business as they grow and develop over the next few years.

More About The Job:

Ideally our client is looking for someone to work full-time, based in their offices near the centre of Oxford.

This role could suit a smart graduate looking for their first full-time job. It could also suit someone who’s been working in this area for a year or two, or someone with more experience. We’re happy to receive applications from people who have relevant other experience which they can bring to this role.
