ELTON HALL HOUSE OPENING, COLLECTIONS AND EVENTS MANAGER
Elton Hall is looking for a House Opening, Collections and Events manager to organise the opening of this Grade 1 property to the public, to manage events in the House and Park and help with the management of the Collection. A genuine interest in Historic Properties is essential as well as the ability to market and manage the wide range of activities at the House, Gardens and Park. You will be joining a small team.

- Marketing, sales and events experience

Job responsibilities
The responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to):
- Managing the Opening of Elton Hall to the public during the summer months and organising and managing the part time guides.
- Taking guided tours of the House as required.
- Cataloguing and maintaining the Collection database.
- Promoting the Hall for tours, weddings, corporate events and room hire
- Producing detailed proposals for events.
- Negotiating contracts with event promoters for the holding of events at Elton and ensuring that the events run smoothly and according to contract
- Researching markets to identify opportunities for events such as exhibitions, fairs (e.g. plant fairs), concerts, festivals and conferences.
- Managing marketing and social media
- Writing news articles
- Website Management
- Agreeing a budget for events and house opening with the Owners and delivering to it.
- Ensuring insurance, legal and health and safety obligations are adhered to
- Coordinating venue management for house opening and events during and outside of office hours
- Ensuring the dismantling and removal of events and clearing the venue efficiently;
- Managing the reception in the absence of the estate secretary
- Occasional PA duties to the Owners
- Other general admin assistance as required
Hours 9am -5.30pm Mon to Friday with one hour for lunch plus occasional weekend and evening work to oversee events.
Salary negotiable
