Senior Data Analyst, Data Lead with strength in XML and SQL required for a leading software house based in central Brighton.
This is a highly exciting opportunity which has been newly created by our client and will be responsible for the selection and implementation of a new big data framework so any experience of Hadoop, Apache Spark etc, would be a great added bonus. Failing that you will be given the chance to learn this in situ.
Proving your deep understanding of XML you should be able to highlight your experience within structured and semi-structured work, to have the ability to move business data around whist also work on content products.
It's essential to be a strong communicator, to coach those within the team and organisation.
The required skills are as follows:
. Highly experienced with XML
. XSLT
. XQuery
. XPath
. SQL
. Search Tools (Solr, Lucene, Elasticsearch etc)
. Big Data Suites (Hadoop, Spark, AWS etc)
. Industry data standard appreciation
Any additional experience with Java technologies is a great added bonus but by no means a show stopper.
We are looking for a driving individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues as well as consult end clients.
