About the role


As a Civil & Structural technical apprentice you will work with a team of engineers producing
technical CAD drawings (2D and 3D) to assist in the design and management of construction
projects across different sectors including healthcare (hospitals and laboratories), education
(schools, colleges, universities), workplace (offices), retail (shopping outlets) and leisure (hotels).
The apprenticeship will run over a two year period during which time you will undertake a
supervised programme of training and college day release where you will gain a BTech Level 3
Diploma in Civil Engineering. You will also have the opportunity to gain Technician Membership
of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).


Subject to your progress, there may be an opportunity to go on to further study to enable you to
be qualified to degree level and achieve either Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status through
our ICE accredited Training Scheme.


Skills Required


You will:
- be competent in the use of IT with good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- be able to communicate in written English to a good standard
- have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team
- be able to manage your own time and have a simple understanding of prioritisation
- be able to produce neat and accurate work


Qualifications Required:-


5 GCSE grades A-C, including Physics and IT and a minimum of Grade B in Maths & English, or
equivalent
