A Content Lead / Educational Publisher is required to join the UK's leading revision app, providing exam preparation for students through their mobile phone or tablet.

The app gives students access to over 50,000 assessment items, most of which are produced in-house. They are looking for a Content Lead. Your job will be to project manage the production of educational content for a wide range of domestic and international qualifications. You must have a passion for the role and handle the pressures and challenges of a start-up environment.

You must be capable of leading teams on a variety of international projects. You must enjoy working with people from diverse professional backgrounds. You must possess the drive and determination to produce only the highest quality educational content possible. Excellent communication and organisational skills are vital. Creativity and initiative are essential. An interest in technology and willingness to learn is crucial. Ultimately, you must share their passion for bringing innovative digital content to students via their mobile device.

What the role involves:

The managing of a content team in order to research, plan and carry out content production projects in up to 20 international markets:

- Join the senior management team as the Content Lead
- Grow and manage an in-house Content Team
- Recruit and work with a large number of contracted, international freelancers such as authors, teachers, illustrators and editors
- Manage the creation of quizzes and study guides for all secondary school subjects
- Conceptualise new and innovative educational products
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team on coordinating launches in new markets
- Collaborate with the Technical Team on new app features and tools for the Content Team
- Manage and allocate the company's content budget

What they are looking for:

- A minimum 2.1 Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years' experience in educational publishing (or similar)
- Extensive project management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and a willingness to participate in discussions
- Self-starter, capable of giving estimates, planning and working to deadlines
- The ability to think creatively, find new ways of working and innovative solutions to content challenges
- An understanding and interest in mobile technology
- An eye for detail - ability to produce high quality work that is error free
- A willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
- A foreign language is beneficial but not a necessity
- Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to commute to east London (Shoreditch area)
