AME Engagement Manager

We are currently recruiting for an Engagement Manager to be based at our EU Headquarters in the Midlands, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing an agreed growth plan for 'On', 'Near' and 'Offshore' based engineering services with a automotive client in UK.

Key Responsibilities:
*Assisting the sales team in a presales role by coordinating inputs from our subject matter experts and providing technical input into the bid process.
*Understanding and shaping customer requirements.
*Leading engineering delivery from our offshore engineering teams in accordance with customer's Manufacturing processes
*Guiding and mentoring local and offshore engineering teams to help build capability and skills and ensure customer expectations and requirements are met and establishing a 'solutioning mentality'
*Ensuring service levels are in accordance with the agreed customer SLA's (Typically: work-loading, Quality, On Time Delivery etc.)
*Managing the customer relationship with our client.
*Ensuring that on and offshore engineering teams are kept fully loaded with a healthy pipeline of activity and creating demand for further growth.
*Attending customer meetings as necessary with engineering, manufacturing and maintaining governance control of the engagement.

Skills Required:

*Successful history of delivery within the automotive
*Understanding of engineering services industry including critical success factors for outsourcing and offshoring.
*Broad knowledge of Automotive is desirable but more importantly sound engineering knowledge of design, process planning,simulation and manufacturing (DCBI/Facility/Launch) is essential.
*Project and supplier management experience.
*Self-Motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
*Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability of communicating with multicultural and remote teams as well as at all levels within the customer and internal departments.
*Proficient in MS Office applications
*Any experience (direct or indirect) in CAD or other CAE applications would be advantageous.
*Travel as necessary to predominantly UK based customer locations TTL sites and occasional travel to India.
