Requirements


Essential:
  • Background in a customer facing role in the automotive industry, with a thorough knowledge of the automotive industries requirements APQP, PPAP/ISIR TS16949.
  • Attention to detail and the determination to insist on quality standards which meet customer requirements are essential personal attributes.
  • Knowledge of developing and working with AIAG tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC CP.
  • Good communication and negotiation skill with customers, both verbal and written with the ability to engage a senior-level audience.
  • PC literate, computing skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Desirable:
  • Background working in a similar quality role in the electronics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Q-Pulse and Microsoft AX systems.
  • Ability to provide cover for, SQA, Goods Inward, Metrology, CMM, Customer concerns,
  • Performing Internal Auditing to TS16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, Q1 and Customer Specifics Requirements functions.
  • Proven capability of implementation of six sigma, Lean techniques and continuous improvement.
  • Higher Education Qualification in engineering in either manufacturing or electronics with proven industry knowledge.
Responsibilities:
  • Generate and compile automotive PPAP/ISIR documentation leading to customer finished product approval
  • Provide Quality Assurance support for NPI and APQP activities including, review of DFMEA, PFMEA Control Plans, MSA, etc.
  • Provide technical assistance to carry out problem analysis/complaint investigation where necessary, eg 8D, CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventative Action) investigation and closeout.
  • To track and report on KPI figures, identifying trends and produce and execute action plans to target trends in data.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Assist the quality manager and team in other quality related activities, as required.
Role:

As part of the quality team the primary role will involve working with customers, obtaining automotive product approval. Perform internal process audits in order to improve efficiency and product reliability.
The successful candidate will be a self-driven, decision maker and natural forward planning member of the quality team, able to work under own initiative.
