The Role
This role is a permanent position working the hours of 7.00am - 3.00 pm Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Support Service Manager. The role of the Logistics Technician is to classify all claims files and ensure they are handled correctly. The Logistics Technician will receive coaching and mentoring as part of their on going development.

Key Accountabilities
* Classifying all First Advices and applying barcode. Tracking in of all claims files including special accounts and Direct Fees on the day of receipt. Transporting claims files to the relevant class of business teams. Collecting completed claims files from the relevant class of business teams. Tracking and completed claims and returning files to the London Market Document Centre (LMDC). Ensuring market checks and data pumps are classified and distributed daily within the team; updating and maintaining spread sheets. Engaging in new initiatives to support the Manager achieve Processing and Quality SLA's. Developing and maintaining technical knowledge to efficiently and effectively complete work. Seeking assistance of more experienced employees in the handling of matters where applicable. Keeping the manager informed of non-routine issues, making recommendations to resolve these matters. Demonstrating and encouraging commitment to team objectives. Managing equipment stock levels and liaising with suppliers before stock runs out.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* An understanding of the London Market practices and procedures. Knowledge of classification processes and procedures. A degree of independent judgment for decision making and problem solving. Ability to listen to and resolve customers issues whilst preserving relationships (by being effective, efficient, tactful, and courteous). Good communication skills with the ability to relay non-routine information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communication. Adapts positively to support change initiatives; promoting a professional image of self, the team and XCS. Maintains a positive attitude and assists in producing and maintaining good team spirit
