Health and Safety Manager (£35,000 - £43,000 per annum)

Lane Personnel are seeking to fill the exciting and demanding role of Health and Safety Manager for a client in the retail sector

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake this challenging position which entails the Health & Safety function at a number of retail stores throughout the UK & Europe. Experience of managing Health and Safety at retail properties/stores in Europe would be highly beneficial.

The position presents a fantastic opportunity to work for a growing and ambitious retailer with a European remit. Location is flexible and travel will be required

As a Health and Safety Manager - Retail, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• ensure compliance is maintained and health and safety standards are incorporated into supplier contracts
• Monitoring of all Health & Safety procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant European legislation
• Implement best-practice Health & Safety procedures
• recording relevant data and reporting back information to the client to ensure that the contract is being delivered as agreed.
• Monitor customer complaints for Health & Safety
• Ensure Fire Prevention standards are adhered to
• Conduct Health & Safety and fire safeety risk assessments
• Make Health & Safety policy recommendations
• Train staff on Health & Safety best practice

The right Health and Safety Manager - Retail will have:

• Strong experience gained from a previous Health and Safety role.

• A strong understanding of environmental and sustainability practices, proaqctively keeping yourself updated about the latest developments within health and safety practice.
• Excellent leadership cability in order to manage a team of employees.
