Position : Network Engineer x 3 (all requiring some level of security experience)
Location : Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary : To GBP45k + bonus + bens
Network Engineer x 3 required for an FTSE 100 company based in Leeds. Three positions as follows:
Network Engineer : very security focused : with F5, Checkpoint, Firewall, Cisco ASA, Juniper, Routing and Switching.
Network Engineer : slightly more security focused than networking : would suit someone with CCNA or CCNA Security working towards CCNP. Approx 2:3 years experience including security, networking and servers. Skills required : Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Linux
Network Engineer : more of a hybrid role between servers, network and security including Redhat and Windows Servers
Desirable :
* Experience of working in a similar role on a global network infrastructure with specific focus on MPLS and data centre technologies
* CCNP certification ideally in the security or routing and switching track
* Excellent working knowledge of network environments including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers
* Must be a credible communicator and able to influence at all levels
* Configuration and implementation of new and existing network equipment
* Network trend analysis and capacity planning
* Network design / architecture
* Ideally worked on a Cisco virtualised (e.g. multi:tenant, multi:VRF) network
* Ideally would hold CCSA, CCSE security certifications (for very security focused role)
* Ideally hold an ITIL certification or have experience of working within an ITIL orientated organisation
The Role :
As Network Engineer you will be responsible for delivery of new projects whilst maintaining the high availability and integrity of the network infrastructure, ensuring all systems run to their optimum level of performance.
You will prepare and maintain technical documentation as required to help the overall Infrastructure team and perform regular security audits of systems to ensure continued system integrity and compliance.
The Network Engineer will effectively manage 3rd party suppliers for value and quality of approach and must have a strong customer focus establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders and 3rd parties.
