Application Support/Support Developer/Software Support/Configuration/Reporting/VB.NET

Location- North of Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary- GBP20,000 to GBP24,000 + Bonus, Free Parking, + Benefits

A forward-thinking technology company who are market leaders in their niche industry sector are looking for a Support Developer to join their team.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a route in to programming or a hobbyist developer seeking commercial experience.
This role would also suit someone with an excellent phone manner who has experience working either in a support role speaking with customers over the phone or in a customer service role within an IT capacity.

This position will involve answering calls from software users to identify issues and perform initial software configuration/big fixes at a basic level.
Sitting within a team of Visual Basic and Mobile developers, candidates who are bright and ambitious will be well suited to this role so they can learn from the team and grow within the company.

Candidates will be considered from a technical support/hardware support background if they can understand basic programming and have a desire to improve skills in this area OR candidates from a junior development background.

Experience in Crystal Reports is highly desirable as is any exposure to speaking directly with customers on the phone and VB.NET/C#.
