: Job Details The Education, Training and Employment (ETE) Team works with vulnerable young people predominately aged 15-18 years to make sure they succeed in education, employment and training. This includes looked after children, care leavers, young offenders, pupils excluded from school and children subject to child protection plans. The post is located within an integrated Youth and Family Support Service and the successful applicant will work as part of multi-agency arrangements to ensure young people achieve positive outcomes. In Enfield we set the bar high. Our children and young deserve excellent services that improve outcomes. Our recent Ofsted inspection graded services for children as Good. The contribution of the ETE team to supporting care leavers was highlighted in the report. Inspectors noted that the majority of care leavers engaging in the Care to Work programme- "progressed well and achieved positive next steps, including gaining an apprenticeship place within the local authority or employment elsewhere." We are seeking high calibre professionals who can demonstrate experience of assessing young people and managing a large and complex case load of young people with complex needs and often challenging behaviour and working in partnership to deliver high quality interventions that challenge and change behaviour, support young people into ETE, prevent negative outcomes and achieve high quality outcomes. This will include a very good level of knowledge regarding practice, theory and research relating to risk and case management of clients with a range of risky behaviours and complex and interlinked high level risk factors with experience of assessment, particularly of assessing risk and protective factors in relation to exclusion from / non-engagement in ETE. This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
