Design & Technology Teacher

An Academy secondary school located in the county of Bedfordshire is seeking to recruit a Design and Technology Teacher for a September 2015 start. Whilst this position is initially temporary, it has the possibility of becoming permanent. The successful candidate will work within an Academy Trust and teach in one of their two partner secondary schools within a 15 minute radius of each other.

The main purpose of this post is to develop, plan and deliver effective and high quality learning experiences for all students. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional who is enthusiastic, innovative and influential, reliable and committed to working as part of a team. They must be highly motivated, respond well to a challenge and have excellent communication skills and they are also required to liaise with teaching colleagues to support strategic development and share good practice.

There are excellent local and international travel links to the location of the schools with the nearest train station within 1 mile and London Luton Airport is a 15 minute journey by car. There are numerous nearby points of interest in and around the surrounding area including leisure facilities and historical buildings.

To be eligible to apply for this position you are required to be a qualified or newly qualified teacher.
