Drupal Developer - senior

Our client in central Glasgow has a key project on the go and they are looking for a Drupal developer with solid experience to join their team.

Th system you will be building is used by hundreds of thousands of people and is key to the goals of the company - you must have previous experience of developing high profile, public-facing websites and have a portfolio to demonstrate.

To be considered you must have strong experience of developing websites using Drupal 7 in an Agile environment. You will be working alongside colleagues and external developers to assist in the further development of this key project.

To be considered you must have at least 3 years' Drupal experience and should have a solid understanding of software design. You should be capable of communicating effectively with non-technical users too as part of your role will be to gather requirements and ensure that the system is built with the users in mind.

Your role will involve:

* Setting up the development environments
* Estimating and scoping the size of development
* Defining QA elements
* Defining documentation, best practice and coding standards
* Ensuring the clarity of documentation
* Putting in place appropriate Agile processes and structures for sprints

You will be communicating regularly to the rest of the organisation about the progress of the development and any issues that arise.

Experience of TDD is essential and you should have experience with automated testing.

You should have experience of custom modules as well as using plug-ins for Drupal. Some Front End skills in CSS3, HTML5 and Javascript are also required.

A good understanding of accessibility is essential and any SEO knowledge would be a bonus.
