For 130 years, CHILDREN 1ST has been working to ensure every child and young person in Scotland has a happy, healthy, safe and secure childhood. We listen, we support and we take action by delivering services in homes and communities across Scotland.
Following a recent review of our community fundraising team we are now recruiting for a number of posts which will strengthen our ability to develop support across Scotland.
CHILDREN 1ST community fundraising team are reaching out into communities, inspiring and engaging people and organisations to help vulnerable children. Our community fundraisers are very much our 'front of house' team representing the wider fundraising and operation teams. This means our community fundraisers develop a broad knowledge of fundraising practice and enjoy working with a wide cross section of supporters, connecting them with the frontline support for children. Volunteers continue to be our bedrock. We have 32 volunteer groups across Scotland and we are actively working to grow new volunteer support.
If you are excellent at inspiring, engaging and developing lasting supportive relationships with people who want to make a real difference to the lives of children through fundraising and volunteering you will find a rewarding role awaiting you at CHILDREN 1ST .
As a community fundraiser you will be a member of our South fundraising team working closely to support the Regional Manager to build upon existing support and develop new income generating opportunities. Working to engage local community groups, schools, colleges, universities, individuals, volunteers and local organisations is a key part of the role. To do this you will need to be a skilled communicator, with a track record of building strong relationships, have excellent organisational skills and ability to focus on and deliver income targets.
We seek an enthusiastic and driven fundraiser who is committed to CHILDREN 1ST 's work.
