Technical Architect/Research Developer - C#, Agile

Want to kick start Research & Development of the infrastructure and applications for a new wave of products?

A key player in the provision of insurance products to the motor industry in the UK; our client is expanding its coverage into Europe and beyond. There is a new role for a talented Senior Research Developer/Technical Architect to drive innovation for cutting edge web and desktop applications using the MS .NET stack and open source technology.

Partnering with IT Development and the BAs you will;

• Research new development and innovations, provide proof of concept/design considering cost effectiveness and security.

• Own the architectural roadmap and its alignment to business and IT strategy.

• Communicate concepts and architecture.

• Support the Developers in the delivery of a working solution.

With considerable software development experience as a Technical Architect using the MS stack, you should have a;

• Strong understanding of effective product development in a client focused business.

• Have evaluated multiple products for best fit solutions.

• Good understanding of architectural best practices.

• Strong C#, Asp.NET Framework 4.0+, MVC

• Understanding of RESTful web services and WCF

• Understanding of Microsoft SQL 2005 - 2014, T-SQL, SSIS/SSRS

• Understanding of Microsoft Window server, IIS

• Commercial experience using JavaScript frameworks, eg AngularJS, Knockout, Bootstrap.

• Experience of working in a Scrum/Kanban Team.

• Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF & Zachman would be advantageous.
