Job description:
Core-Asset Consulting's client, a leading asset management firm, has an opening for a Programme Manager on an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will have strong exposure to both MiFID regulations and asset management.
Core responsibilities:
- Lead a programme of change from a regulatory perspective to ensure the business is fully compliant with any changes to appropriate legislative and directive changes
- Assess and apply the new MIFID II regulations from a technical and operational perspective to business functions
- Work with senior management to ensure that the programme is aligned with business objectives and that any approach adopted implements the required changes whilst protecting the business from risk
- Define approach workstreams and recruit appropriate individuals to lead the implementation of the required changes
- Communicate with stakeholders and seek to mitigate any potential risk
Core skills:
- Self-motivation with the ability to formulate and apply new ideas both independently and quickly
- A dedication to approachability to build relationships quickly
- Excellent relationship management and networking skills to work with senior stakeholders across the business
- Enthusiastic and confident with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide clear and concise management information to stakeholders and senior management
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Team orientated to effectively support team members when required and communicate business requirements
Core requirements:
- Exceptional programme management experience within the asset management industry is essential
- Legal, compliance and risk experience is desirable
- Strong knowledge of MiFID and working knowledge of the legislative changes MiFID II will bring is desirable
- Degree educated
