Product Owner (Search, Algorithms, Data Science, Machine Learning)
Product owner (Search, algorithms, data science, machine learning) to join a leading UK E-commerce company. As the product owner you will develop search functionality and algorithm within the website and app; you will manage the search team and work with the web and mobile app teams.
The Product Owner role is for you if you have strong product management experience, excellent working knowledge of developing search algorithms, are extremely innovative (you should love the idea of taking a 15-year-old database and doing something interesting with it) and if you have the personality to make a sweeping change in the company.
Responsibilities:
- Improve search functionality and algorithm within web and mobile app
- Define product strategy, including milestones and measurable customer experience improvements
- Collaborate with the mobile and web development teams, ensuring data and ideas are shared
- Stakeholder and supplier management
Required skills:
- Strong working knowledge of search algorithms (a must have!)
- Strong understanding of search algorithm related technologies including results caching, graph compression, data cleansing and high performance processing of complex data; able to participate in technical discussions
- A track record of successfully creating search products; journey search algorithm experience is highly desirable
- Uses both quantitative and qualitative insights to drive effective product prioritisation
- You are already a product owner/manager with good project management skills, able to create plans with clear milestones and manage delivery
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly present ideas and concepts via different channels
- A team player, collaborative and a great influencer
- Self-motivated with a can do attitude
- Minimum three years' experience as product manager
