Test Technician

Our client is one of the leading manufacturing partners, working alongside some of the world's best known brands and manufacturing products.Their team develops and manufactures products that help to connect people, advance technology, and improve the world we share.

Due to recent success and expansion, a role has come up for an experienced Test Technician to join the team in Livingston.

Key responsibilities are;

• Provide support to production lines to ensure minimum test reject inventory
• Comply all feedback from ICT and FVT on all process related rejects to improve process quality
• Provide backup as test technician when required
• Responsible to provide debug training for new test debug technicians
• Responsible for all test reject WIP and reduce test reject WIP to a minimum level
• Find root cause of problems and feed them back to the Test Engineer
• Comply and provide real time feedback to production and engineering on all process related rejects
• Rework test reject boards. Do all rework apart from BGA devices, press fit connectors and through hole connectors.
• Cross train as a Test Technician
• Work with Test Engineer to develop debug guide for debug technicians and junior debug technicians

Key attributes are;

• experience of working in a similar role within the electronic or mechanical field
• relevant qualification
• excellent communication and planning skills
