The Anthony Toby Homes Trust was founded 40 years ago with the aim of supporting people with learning disabilities to have the same opportunities as everyone else and to live near their families and friends as full members of their local community. The Trust currently manages two homes near the centre of Wokingham,

The Anthony Toby Homes Trust is now looking for an experienced and committed person to work alongside the Trust Manager in the overall management and monitoring of the service, responsible to the Board of directors. This involves monitoring all aspects of the service in line with best practice, to ensure all aims and objectives are being met and that each person living in the homes is receiving high quality person centred care and support. The person appointed will have thorough knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with a learning disability.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in health and social care, experience of management of a care service, and be familiar with CQC Fundamental Standards and guidance. He or she will value diversity, will foster an open positive and inclusive culture, and be able to work in partnership with all stakeholders. The following skills and abilities are also necessary: Excellent communication, good interpersonal skills, understanding of financial systems and budgets, knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, understanding of employment law, a professional interest in quality measures and initiatives.

The post is based in Wokingham and is 20 hours per week. Occasional extra hours may be necessary to meet the needs of the organisation.

The salary is commensurate with responsibilities.
