A Software Developer is required to join a market leading horticulture organisation on the outskirts of Chichester to add value to a growing development team. The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office Site supporting and developing for multiple sites across the south of England. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to push the technical boundaries, come up with new ideas and solutions and for someone who is ready to be challenged and grow within an established and ambitious team.

The successful candidate will have a hands on approach mentality with hardware as well as software. The role will require developing initially within Microsoft Access in VBA with the aim to progress developing skills to VB.NET and SQL. You will be a keen follower of new trends and technologies; it's about the right attitude and quality of work produced that's key in this role.

You will undertake a wide variety of projects within the team and will have control and autonomy over your workload. You will ideally be educated to degree level in an IT related subject.

Essential Requirements:

  • The ability and desire to have a hands on approach
  • A willingness to support hardware as well as software
  • A willingness to learn and develop within new technologies
  • Some experience using Microsoft Access/VBA
  • An understanding of databases
  • An understanding of the development processes, methodologies and the systems development life cycle
  • Full driving licence

Desirable Requirements:

  • An interest in horticulture
  • Solid understanding of VBA
  • Experience developing within Microsoft Access
  • Experience using SQL Server
  • Knowledge or experience using VB.NET

This position may suite a graduate or a software developer with Microsoft Access experience. This is an exciting time to join the company supporting and developing multiple sites across the south of England.
