Support Worker

Role Responsibility

Full time, part time or sessional posts available

Support Workers bring an opportunity for freedom and fulfillment into people’s lives, empowering them to achieve their ambitions – however big or small. In this life-changing and truly rewarding role, you’ll inspire others empowering them to thrive; grow and realise their dreams.

We provide full training and on-going career development. Not only that we can support you to gain professional qualifications and you’ll also have inspiring colleagues around you to turn to for guidance.

As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.

It’s a Support Worker job that can be challenging at times, but this is balanced by the unrivalled sense of long-term satisfaction it also gives. It’s an opportunity to be creative and feel inspired, both by your colleagues and the people you support. It’s a career that you can feel proud of.

Who you are and the rewards:

You’re compassionate, you love working with people, have their wellbeing as your top priority, and are able to build relationships based on trust, respect and consideration. You’ll also need to be patient and understanding of people’s varied needs; able to adapt your pace to match theirs. A confident problem solver and a creative thinker with good communication skills, you’ll overcome challenges with positivity, commitment and enthusiasm.

You’ll need to be flexible around shift and weekend work as many roles include a 24/7 rota. With many roles it will be highly desirable or essential that the Support Worker has a full driving licence, and are able and willing to use your own vehicle on business (for which mileage expenses will be paid).

You don’t need any specific qualifications or experience; in fact, we value individuality and welcome applications from all backgrounds. We offer an extensive induction and training programme for everyone, followed by on-going career development. Our award-winning training is designed to ensure that you feel confident and knowledgeable; we will tailor training around your needs and the needs of the people you’ll be supporting.
