Electronics Test Engineer

An SME based in East Cheshire, specialising in Contract Electronic & Electrical Manufacture is looking to recruit an Electronic Test Engineer.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be an experienced Electronic Test Engineer, capable of turning your hands to both production related test issues as well as warranty returns. Although most testing will be carried out to existing specifications they are also looking for a candidate that is capable of assisting customers to develop existing and future products when required, with an ability to design simple electrical & electronic assemblies and a knowledge of simple PLC programming i.e. Siemens Logo! And design and programming with PIC chips.

The Ability to fault find to component level is essential.

This is a full time position, ideally suitable to someone who has electrical and electronic experience.

Duties will include:

- Testing of products to existing test specifications
- Assist in the development of existing and future products
- Liaising with production and customers
- Maintain test records and documentation in line with ISO9001

Qualifications:

- Timer served or minimum HNC qualified Electronic Test Engineer.
- Experience in fault finding Analogue Electronics down to component level.
- Able to follow and interpret circuit diagrams
- Use of a variety of testing equipment not limited to voltmeters, oscilloscopes, voltage and frequency generators etc.
- Ability to lay out simple circuit diagrams using CAD or Visio based package
- Experience designing PCB's using Easy-PC PCB Layout software an advantage

In return they are offering a basic salary of £25K p.a. rising to £27K p.a. after a qualifying period.

Permanent Position based near to Sutton and Henbury.
