LECTURER IN PHOTOGRAPHY
Variable Hours
£15.99 - £17.76 (per taught hour, dependent on qualifications and experience)
The Programme Area of Visual Arts & Media consists of Art & Design, Photography and Media provision.
We are seeking a candidate to use their Photography experience to teach the next generation of industry practitioners. This role will combine providing high quality teaching, learning and assessment in the College with the opportunity to push the learning provision in new directions. You will be predominantly working in the Art & Design provision with Level 3 learners. We teach a broad range of photography skills, looking at both wet and digital processes, dark room, experimentation, studio and location shoots and Photoshop application. The applicant would need a skill base that encompasses all these, and an understanding of a broad range of materials, techniques and processes. Additional skills in Media and Web Design are preferably.
You must hold a qualification in Photography, preferably a Level 6 (Degree or equivalent) or a Level 3 qualification with extensive proven industrial experience.
A teaching qualification is advantageous however in service training is available, you must be willing to study for this. Experience of teaching on Level 3 BTEC courses and of course management, marking and assessment is desirable.
