Engineering Manager

Job Elements: -

• Managing all facilities, services and production engineering, leading all the Engineers and Technicians to drive plant performance improvements.
• Plan, manage and oversee the daily functions, operations and activities of the engineering teams to continuously improve organisational productivity and customer service
• Develop the team and team members in order to improve the effectiveness of the department
• Manage and monitor complex projects, on time and within budget
• Responsible for performance management based on KPIs, timelines and activity plans. To ensure the team achieve their full working potential through on-going updates, appraisals, addressing any knowledge and skills gaps that may be in evidence
• To continuously develop and implement a cost effective preventive maintenance regime in line with the maintenance strategy

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated People management experience within a high paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lead by example and coach the team members
• Strong capability of Root Cause analysis and problem solving using engineering tools and techniques e.g. FMEA, 5 Why analysis, PDCA
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Budget management experience
• Continuous improvement attitude
• Ideally possess a BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
