Citrix Engineer/Applications Support

An experienced Citrix Engineer is required for our clients expanding Corporate Services Department; you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the Citrix computing environment to our clients platform which is used by more than 17,000 employees.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and driven candidate who is motivated to meet and exceed service level agreements as well as providing an industry/leading level of security. Applicants for this role would need to be willing to undergo Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

* Providing technical support and analysis

* Monitor and maintain Citrix XenApp 5.0, 6.0 and 6.5, Provisioning Service and NetScaler infrastructures to agreed operational standards

* Design, build, implementation and support of new XenApp 7.x Farms

* Maintain all Citrix computing management processes. Production of Operational and Technical Documentation to agreed standards.

* Production of management reports detailing farm performance and capacity trends

* Application deployment, testing and support across multiple Citrix infrastructures and security zones Providing assistance to 1st and 2nd line teams with Citrix and published application support.

Additional accountabilities

* Citrix and XenApp environments maintained to agreed standards

* Meet all SLAs and KPIs

* Troubleshooting operational issues

* Satisfied customer base

* Delivering and working towards IT best practice processes and procedures

* Ad/hoc project work and support duties as defined by Infrastructure Manager

Requirements

* Willing to Under/go SC Clearance

* Citrix Certified Administrator CCA is Desirable

* Solid foundation in Citrix and Active Directory (GPO), testing, documentation and installation through all troubleshooting aspects

* Experience with working within Citrix XenApp 5.0, 6.0, 6.5 and 7.X

* Experience in design, implementation, maintenance and disaster recovery for large Citrix environments

* Experience of publishing applications in secure environments

* Understanding of IT management processes

* Understanding of future Thin Client technologies including virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) Technical and Specialist Knowledge

* NetScaler 10 Access Gateway Enterprise
