Calypso Developer

First Derivatives is seeking Calypso developers to work in a customer-facing role to drive global system implementations. The ideal candidates will have technical experience gained in the capital markets industry working for a software vendor or consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Leading hands-on Calypso technical systems installation and configuration
• Configuring and customizing Calypso to meet the full complement of functional needs from the Front Office, to the Middle Office, through to the Back Office.
• Collaborating with business analysts and other developers to design and build enhancements
• Analyses, designs, programs, debugs, supports, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products
• Responsible for planning, analysis, detailed design, developing/coding, testing and implementation of the components
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications

Requirements

• 3-7 years of Calypso experience:
• Knowledge/experience of front, middle and Back Office
• Experience of working in medium to large teams in complex project environments
• Experience working in technical environments within the capital markets industry
• Excellent customer facing skills
• Proven experience of interacting directly with end users
• Open to global travel is advantageous but not a prerequisite
• Installing, configuring and maintaining Calypso's enterprise cross-asset platform
• Developing and customizing Calypso using the Calypso Java API
