Software Engineer C++, C# (Navigation and Mapping technology)

The successful candidate will have a love for programming, a passion for problem solving and an eye for detail. Significant experience of hardware/software programming in C#, C ++ is essential as is a degree in Computer Science or related field and excellent communication skills.

This role will be based in Nottingham.

The Position

Roles and responsibilities will include the planning, design, development, documentation and monitoring of specific software projects, working both independently and as part of a team. Additional responsibilities will include the provision of technical support to the diverse global client base.

• Followed the software life cycle: requirements gathering, software design, development, documentation, testing, integration and release.

Desirable Skills include

• Java or C
• Master of Science Computer Science degree
• Worked with geospatial data - Desirable
• Worked on improved sensor fusion software (cameras, navigation systems)
• Validated and improved inertial navigation simulation software
• Developed multi-sensor fusion algorithms (LiDAR, Camera, GIS data)
• Experience of user interface design (particularly WPF)
• Experience in SQL, HTML, PHP Programming
• An understanding of project delivery timeframes and pride in delivering ahead of schedule
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, eg design patterns, dependency injection, etc.
