Software and IT Services Procurement Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Software and IT Services Procurement Manager to join us, based in Preston (although Farnborough may be acceptable for the right candidate).

As a Software and IT Services Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for contracting with and managing a range of software licences and IT services agreements (including 'cloud' service providers) on behalf of internal and external customers.

This role sits within Enterprise IT Services (EITS), where the environment is fast-paced and busy. EITS is part of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.

Your main responsibilities as a Software and IT Services Procurement Manager will include:

• Contributing to strategy and planning with respect to software and IT service providers

• Negotiating and agreeing corporate software licence agreements and IT service agreements =(including 'Cloud' IaaS and SaaS agreements) for EITS' customers, taking into account their requirements
  
  
• Negotiating commercial terms with software and IT service providers, including the delivery of cost reduction targets
  
  
• Acting as Supplier Management and Procurement Lead for designated strategic suppliers

• Being the customer interface and support lead to designated customers for IT Procurement services

• Acting as commercial interface and support lead to strategic IT programmes
  
  
• Coordinating and managing team activities and supporting the preparation of team reporting

Your skills and qualifications as a Software and IT Services Procurement Manager will include:

• Relevant procurement experience, including with software vendors and cloud service providers
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply
• Degree or other professional qualification, preferably in Law, or experience to offset this requirement
• Working knowledge of ITIL
• Experience of working with, and influencing, business stakeholders to deliver effective procurement outcomes
• Experience in contract design, drafting and negotiation relating to software licensing and IT service contracts (including cloud service agreements)
• Previous experience in a management position
