IT Support Team Leader/Manager, ITIL, Configuration, Change & Release Management

Due to a period of substantial growth and investment within IT, my market leading client based in Halifax, are looking to recruit an IT Team Leader/Manager to work in their IT service department.

The ideal candidate will come from a Service Delivery/IT Support background with experience of leading teams and managing people effectively. Knowledge of ITIL is highly desirable for this position and experience of managing the configuration of software and infrastructure is essential.

Core focus of the position:

• Manage the IT service team responsible for the configuration of software and infrastructure.
• Supporting development phases and hand over to production environments. This requires close liaison with application development and infrastructure teams to ensure robust and repeatable procedures are in place for delivering configuration services to a range of solution teams.
• The role will also oversee and have ultimate responsibility for release and change management by carrying out management of at least 1 other team member.
• Travel between Reading and Halifax on a regular basis will be required

Experience

• People management experience required
• Extensive experience within IT infrastructure and development environments
• Configuration Management
• Environment Management
• Asset management
• ITIL qualified preferred
• Change Management & Release Management experience preferred

This role is commutable from Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford, Pudsey, Keighley, Leeds, Burnley, Rochdale, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Batley and surrounding areas.
