MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  • To work as part of the System Integrations team to build integrated, web enabled information systems using primarily Lagan CRM and EMC Documentum as well as Microsoft toolsets: C#, ASP.NET MVC, Biztalk, SQL Server 2008/2012, SQL Business Intelligence.
  • To assist in the design, development, and support of corporate applications and information systems including complex integrations to those systems
  • To ensure the design and development techniques used adopt a standards based approach to software development to ensure the scalability of the solution
  • Develop and mandate key policies and protocols governing web provision, accessibility, usability and standards-compliance - driving improvement across all e-channels.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • The ideal candidate will need to possess the ability and skill sets to perform and deliver work packages without direct supervision.
  • A high level of experience of developing web based solutions in Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 4/5 and .net framework 4.5 in the C# language, to create effective public facing integrations into Back Office systems. (Knowledge of HTML/Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is essential).
  • Experience of developing integrations to Back Office systems using a variety of technologies and methodologies with recent experience in a Microsoft Biztalk Server (2004/2006) environment. This includes development of Orchestrations, Schemas and preferably Pipelines using the inbuilt SOAP, HTTP and FILE adapters to ensure an effective/consistent experience of connecting to Back Office systems.
  • Experience within an environment which supports, develops and maintains a complex architecture of systems and process which require a high level of availability and are critical to the operations of those services.
  • Knowledge must be kept constantly up to date and you will be expected to recommend and propose advances in technology and methodology to ensure that the ICT development team and ICT maintain its desire to be leading edge within its market.
  • Excellent database skills in a Microsoft environment are a must with ideally some exposure to SQL Server 2012 although 2008 is essential.
  • You will be required to make technical decisions on architecture and implementation which will contribute directly to strategic aims for online transactionality and functionality.
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude with an ability to stay calm under pressure and continue to adhere to good software development practices.
