The Advanced Solutions Group (ASG) is the professional services department of Thales E-security (TeS), offering cutting-edge services to complement the cryptographic products sold by TeS. The role is both exciting and varied, providing an opportunity to work with both a wide variety of technologies and intelligent, challenging customers.

Our customers-businesses, governments, and technology vendors with a broad range of challenges use Thales E-security products and services to improve the security of applications that rely on encryption and digital signatures.
A Solutions Consultant is responsible for delivering standard ASG service offerings to customers across EMEA, including:
- deployment and integration of TeS products
- customer training and product evangelising
- writing proposals for future projects
- providing security advice to TeS customers
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Delivering customer training on TeS products, specifically the payShield family of HSMs.
- Onsite installation and configuration of TeS products, specifically the payShield family of HSMs.
- Advising customers on security best practices, including minimising attack vectors and supporting high resilience.
- Writing business-winning proposals based on customer requirements.
- Helping achieve the annual revenue targets for the ASG team.
- Pro-actively improving consultancy practices based on personal experience and customer feedback.
- Actively contribute to and keep abreast with the payShield product roadmap.
- Keep abreast with current trends in the security industry.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Solid background of payments security: Symmetric cryptography, symmetric key management and storage, payment industry applications and best practices
- Solid knowledge of EMV and experiences with systems migration from mag stripe to EMV
- Solid knowledge of the credit card personalization process
- Solid understanding of the principles of application security, including public key infrastructures
- Confident and experienced in customer-facing situations, including ability to present to large audiences
- Able to express complex ideas in a manner befitting the audience. Able to engage with all levels in a business
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree, or equivalent higher educational qualification, in a related technical field, eg Computer Science, Engineering etc, and/or a suitable period of experience working directly with Hardware Security Modules
Desirable
- Qualification related to the field of IT security (eg CISSP, CEH, CAP, CISMP, or equivalent)
