My client are a well-established web marketing agency who provide a range of digital services, design and creative, development, managed services, digital strategy and consulting for over 120 organisations across a broad cross-section of industries. They have built up a strong and trusted reputation which is demonstrated by their high levels of client retention.

Role:

This role is for a dedicated Front End developer to take a design and transform it into award winning, responsive HTML that the Back End team can then wire up to create award winning websites for clients. Whilst some clients still require older browsers, where possible you will specify HTML5 and CSS3 to enable you to use the latest technology to build modern and fresh looking websites. There will be close interaction required with the designers to ensure that their designs are faithfully reproduced on the web, but also to provide suggestions on the art where possible to ensure they are factored into future designs. There will also be extensive interactions with the Back End development team to ensure best practice is adopted to facilitate speedy integration with the CMS systems used, but also with the internal account managers to get the best possible client results, so good teamwork skills are required.

Opportunity:

The business will provide training and research time to facilitate learning, but it is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate a thirst for knowledge and will provide input on which technologies the business should be looking at.

Required:

  • HTML5 and CSS3
  • JQuery and Javascript skills, with a desire to improve them further.
  • Be aware of Front End technologies such as Bootstrap, LESS, Require or Knockout.
  • Be a quick learner and able to pick up other technologies such as angularjs if required.
  • Be comfortable testing on a range of mobile, tablet and desktop devices and browsers.

Environment:

My client have won numerous awards with a combined portfolio of over 400 clients serviced by a team of over 100 professionals in 4 office locations.
