Austin Fraser are proud to be working alongside one of the countries leading Digital Agencies, with clients such as BAE Systems, Rackspace and Barclays. They are looking to bring on a PHP Technical Lead, to lead a development team of 5. The lead PHP Developer will be based out od the companies head office in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

The day-to-day for the Lead PHP Developer is very hands on with the management of both front and Back End teams. A strong development background will need be drawn on at any moment to assist the account and project teams, as well as interacting with clients on a regular basis. Experience with doing the above would be highly advantageous to the client, and quite commonplace for a Lead PHP Developer.

The technical competencies for this role is as follows:

• PHP
• Symfony2 or Zend experience
• JavaScript
• HTML5
• Bower
• Grunt
• AngularJS
• Node and Express

The ideal candidate will need have expertise in:

• Create extend-able, scalable and maintainable code
• Understanding of REST based APIs and XML parsing
• Understand complex database concepts
• Understand OO concepts
• Understand the benefits of various programming languages
• Linux skills
