Junior Digital ASIC Design Engineer - ASIC, FPGA Design, Cambridge

Our client, a household name in wireless communications, is offering a rare opportunity for a Junior / Graduate Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join their wireless IC design team based in Cambridge. This team develops Wireless LAN and Bluetooth digital IP, and consists of some of the most talented wireless chip designers in industry.
The successful candidate for this role could be a recent graduate, or an engineer with some prior industrial experience.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work within a group of highly experienced Digital ASIC Design specialists and be responsible for FPGA emulation, digital chip verification and design under the mentorship for a senior engineer. As you gain experience you will work on all areas of the ASIC chip flow and to become a real digital design expert.
Requirements:
*An excellent academic background; BSc/MSc degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
*Strong knowledge of the basics of Digital ASIC / SoC Design and Verification, with some relevant project experience (academic or industrial)
*Some FPGA design experience / knowledge would be beneficial
*Hands-on experience in Verilog/VHDL (SystemVerilog would be a bonus)
*An ability to get up to speed very quickly, with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to take the initiative
